I'd love to see the work they've been doing on the Metroid 4 logo.

As Nintendo game development lies go that logo was a good one, easily up there with that hastily arranged 'private event' on the day after a disastrous E3 performance which drew howls of derision for featuring no new games at all. In that case Shigeru Miyamoto lied to a select group of journos about Pikmin 3 being in development for the Wii and then legged it.

More down to peoples inability to keep their hype in check. Everyone always expects megatons for some reason, nintendo never go out and say this direct will be amazing or the best ever yet people read into the tiniest thing & hype the hell out of it and then get disappointed when what they hoped hasn't come to pass.

It's true Nintendo always work to keep expectations low and boy do they deliver on that, but it's not outrageous to expect a new game announcement form time to time, particularly when they are rolling in money. Unfortunately Nintendo seem to take the fact they are rolling in money as vindication for not over-exerting themselves on making the games their fans have wanted for years.

Nintendo take a prison warden approach to games. They'll wait until you are really thirsty and then give you a small cup of diet coke. Is it as refreshing as a pint of water? No, but you'll be damn happy to get it.

Nintendo do the bare minimum on rare occasion and fall short plenty of other times, and yet some on here and other places never fail to stop finding excuses for them when they blatantly wouldn't do the same for MS and/or Sony.

Thing with Sony and MS is that they give us an idea of what's coming (GT7 or Halo) and then start showing it later Gamers know stuff is coming. Nintendo maintain radio silence until they announce a direct and people start losing their ****. And they pull **** like the limited release of Mario galaxy.
