Silent Hill 2:Ps2 vs Xbox

I already have (and love ) Silent Hill 1 and 3 and now i'm thinking of buying 2. Since I own both a ps2 and a xbox , could someone please tell me which one is better?

Also does anyone knows if Silent Hill 2irector's Cut for ps2 has the extra chapter with Maria that was in the xbox version?

Yes it does.

Silent Hill 2 for PS2 (original) also has a bonus DVD, not sure if it's the same for the director's cut. That's PAL format.

The Platinum version for PS2 has the XBox stuff, but it probably doesn't look quite as good.

Silent Hill 2 is a horrible game.

Advantages for each system:

PS2
-Smoother cinemas
-Less slowdown
-A SH2 save file unlocks extra scenes in SH3 (bare in mind that SH4 will probably be PS2 exclusive also)

Xbox
-Slightly better graphics
-Slightly shorter loading times

Both games have 4.0 sound afaik (the Xbox version definately doesn't have 5.1). Take your pick, your choice should be based on which joypad you prefer.

I had both and felt xbox was noticibly better graphically and had better load times.

The PS2 SH2 save thing sounds nice though

OT: Any news on Xbox SH3?
