MS's effort looks slick but is weak. It's 90% nonsense, 5% a game that's available on PS5 and 5% a game that won't be out for a year.
PS5's is unoriginal but simple - the games, the games, the games

The thought of playing Ultra Streetfighter IV on a Serie X has an appeal over SFV CE though...plus credit schemes to own consoles through manufacturers...Microsoft have Sony on the ropes through design and virtualization...the games are coming...and are already here...

Yeah, games from 2 gens ago are definitely one of the main draws of the new gen of consoles.

Xbox for me, I went a tad off PS when the PS3 came out. And I'm a gamer with massive hands (a foot long from the base of the palm to the tip of the middle finger). Yeah, the XB controller is THA BALLZ. Cream of the crop.

Not only that, it has rugged, underdog status. The PS is too fancy-schmancy, now, I want rugged.

I'm happy settling for 'second best' when second best is far better than good enough.

And feels great in the palm. I don't have micro-hands, Sony.

There is superior quality gameplay...Better playability in SFIV and CEV than ten "Last of Us Part III titles....these re bloated messes of poor elongagted narrative design...akin to a pulp comic book,,,, like film student productions...

The way things are in the world right now they could not market these things and still make record profits.

There is a massive upside to everyone staying home even if it comes with lots of negatives as well... The video game market is basically thriving in this climate.

Genuinely surprised none of them are pushing the social aspect more.
We currently have game nights of a Monday and try to watch a film together another night because we can't go to the cinema together.
Some sort of app that runs a film at the same time, with cameras or chat that is virtual movie night.

Instead, it's the usual CGI overload of banging on about whole worlds of adventure in your new console.

Microsoft paid how much for the new Rare in 18 Billion? Running scared here Cave? SONY's marketing has always been very good though in how they frame their console ID very well...giving the impression of value...

Talk of marketing got me wondering how many people are actually on the fence over which to buy? It feels like the line-ups and specs are so similar these days that most people are just buying the next version of the console they've owned for the last generation or two.

Is anyone who owned only one Sony or MS console in the last generation considering switching to the rival this generation?
