Well it's somewhere in between all of those poles isn't it... As I said above it doesn't break the mould so expect a very pretty FH4, but it is very streamlined and easier to play. It also loads super bloody quick on Series consoles, been fast travelling around last night and it was almost instant.

I got the all roads achievement last night but like FH4 when it launched it seems it's glitched. I hit it with 574/578... or 99.3%.

Been all over the map and can't see any more track so either I've done it or I'm blind and the stat is wrong. Interestingly the accolade in the game for the same thing is still locked...

As it is I think I'm going to wait now till Tuesday and jump back in when I can get the game pass achievements.

I can plough my way across fields and through fences and drive like an idiot with no penalty in terms of physics. What I would love to see (but obviously never will) is the horizon team make a motorstorm game!

Well yeah free roam is like that but races are more enclosed and force down a narrow path.

I haven't tried Event Labs creator yet but you can now use a full on editor. Maybe make your own rules?

I was thinking about this last night, they need to add weapons to event labs, let us make a spiritual successor to Blur.

I know what you mean, solid if unspectacular half way house racer thats not a specialist at anything. Feels like it could do with more routes during the races given its freedom focus.

There's Horizon, Forza Motorsport, GT, Need for Speed, and that's sort of it really.

A quick tip for anyone playing using the premium bundle... Seems you get a house token to buy any house for free. I noticed that out near the Baja area on the south west coast there's one house for a cool 2m credits which when bought unlocks the free drive ability to pick anywhere on the map and warp there.

You can't get this with the credit unfortunately, so no it doesn't unlock every house. Right, got to get back to this unspectacular game.

Grid, Assetto Corsa, Project Cars, Mario Kart, Dirt, MotoGP, F1, WRC 10, Nickelodeon Kart Racers, Nascar, Ride, AMA Superbike - don't think there's a real shortage of racing games.

And Test Drive is making a return in 2022.

Unspectacular? As in lacking spectacle? Sorry we disagree.

To me this feels like a lot of the best bits of games like Burnout Paradise fused with different racing disciplines for more variety.

True it's not fully focused on one particular aspect outside in free roam but if you like e.g. circuit racing then there's the street scene... if you like offroad point to point there's that too... Not sure what spectacle it's lacking but if it's not for you then fair enough.

That's true, I guess most of them just pass me by nowadays because they're not in my personal sweet spot of what I consider a real arcade-style racer. Sim style has taken over.

Wreckfest is pretty good if you just want to chuck cars around a track and make a mess.

I actually had a ton of fun with Wreckfest when I got it via PS+! I should get back to it and finish off the campaign, I got most of the way through it. Good thought.

Mine did the same for the roads unlocked at 574...... but then took it away haha
then gave the achievement back but I did get all 578 roads

The missing roads are there you just have to look extra hard as you’ve missed the smallest amount to colour it

regarding the fast travel house to unlock it you need to complete the street race festival thing, then pay your 2million but you still have to pay to travel until you get every fast travel board then it’s free, took me about a hr to get all fast travel boards
Every board you get brings it down by 200 credits

You know what's cool? People talking about actually having fun and enjoying a game. Too often we are critical of games, it's nice to see the other side sometimes.
