The main actress is absolutely fantastic as well, amazing performance. Im up to about 6 hours now and while simple and linear, its still a great game, my partner has enjoyed watching as well as the puzzles are decent and main character as i said is so well portrayed.Last edited by fishbowlhead; 10-08-2021, 09:59.

Hellblade is an odd one, the devs made a big play on its launch about the focus on trying to revive the AA Game and about the personal tale it tells so anything that sneaks out about Hellblade II falls on the ears a bit weird. Expand the combat, the scale etc and you kind of kill the games appeal from that original angle but then are they likely to be making a AAA version of the experience either?
It may well be good but it feels like there's a very wide margin for it being something that doesn't please fans from either angle too. Hope they retain the MH focus strongly enough too, it'd be a shame to see the series descend into Goddess of War.

Going after God of War is definitely not the way to go for them, they don’t have the chops to pull it off to be honest, no offence to Ninja Theory, good studio but games like God of War are perfect storms that don’t happen often.
Personally i’d much rather the puzzles expanded, combat reduced a bit and more story and personal exploration of Senua, along with not much longer play time as a game.Last edited by fishbowlhead; 10-08-2021, 11:04.

Picked up a series s yesterday after the guys at work were bigging up The Ascent! Grabbed a cheap year of Gamepass and then filled the hard drive over night! 😆
Been Sony only for years so have loads to catch up on.
Saw all the old names on my friends list from here and got nostalgic for the forum.

Nice, I'll get that once the PS5 version drops
I vividly remember reading a letter sent in by a reader in PC Gaming World magazine - this was probably about '98 - in which the writer asserted in the strongest possible terms that the ongoing debate over whether Unreal was a 'Quake 2 killer' was irrelevant, since Quake 2 would rule as the world's greatest FPS till Quake 3 came out, at which point Quake 3 would rule until Quake 4 came out and so on and so on, for ever and ever.
Which is pretty hilarious
Even as a kid I didn't think that made much sense!
No idea why that stuck in my mind.
