King of fighters english language mode

Does anyone know which of the king of fighters games on the saturn have an english language mode???
I have been playing kof-r2 on my ngpc and I love it and want to get into the console ports, only I don't know which one to get.

Also I need a modified saturn to play it on, if you have one to sell me see my post in the wanted forum. Thanks

why don't you get the dc or ps2 devs? kof 2000 and 2001 are both good examples of the franchise and well worth picking up

The jap language tends to be just the story. All (if i'm not mistaken) the options etc are in English.

If you have a Pal Saturn check out KOF '95 (it came with a ROM cart, not to be confused with KOF '96 & '97 RAM cart) as it had a UK release.

KOF games are avalible on the following 4 home formats (not included are NeoGeo versions:

PS: KOF '95, '96, '97, '98, '99.
PS2 : KOF 2000, 2001 (enhanced backgrounds)
SAT: KOF '95, '96, '97
DC: KOF '98 (is actually a version of '99), '99 (enhanced 3D backgrounds etc), 2000, 2001, 2002.

For a start go with the DC versions (if you have one)! As it is easier to get imports to run on an un-modded DC via the use of a boot disk.

UK Saturns will need to have a country & 60Hz switch installed. You can also get a boot cart that allows you to run import games.
But you'll have trouble with games that use the cart slot for ROM & RAM carts (all KOF games, alot of Capcom fighters etc) if using the boot cart!

If you have a GBA get hold of King of Fighters EX or EX2. EX can be picked up for about ?10 new in Game!

I was looking for a modified saturn to play the hordes of awsome shoot em' ups for the system mainly, I have a 5 in 1 cart but that produces a big black boarder at the bottom of the screen.

thanks for the info, I had just assumed kof games on the saturn were jap only. time to go scour the internet for someone who has a copy of 95.

Also, both the PlayStation and Saturn versions of KOF '96 have an option to display the story and win quotes etc. in English too (not so with KOF '97 though).
