Sadly, I have no account there, and am weary of starting one. I hear ex-edge-forumites use rllmuk as their new base.

What does rllmuk stand for exactly?
What is there ethos?

Anyway biglime, goodluck with the project, Im sure it wont be easy.
But it may take strong roots, and spread.

One last question, I keep reading, that due to overly strong british broadcasting laws, and since they dont regard games as art, unlike film, you arent allowed to show game footage to some degree or something.

Edge as usual did a poor job explaining it, and Ive still yet to understand exactly what it is you cant do on TV regarding videogames. They said something about too many regulations, and some guy would simply watch the show before hand, and simply yes or know ar each key point. if he said no, they had to get rid of that piece. Im totally lost, it was an old article in EDGE, few months back.

Is there some law regarding the lenght of game footage that can be played? Or is it content?

Actually, no offense, but I thought my idea of RAM! was terrible, I only included it as a sort of half innuendo. That whole list seems a bit sparse tbh, compared to all the ideas that were listed.

Some do and some don't. A lot of the forum 'stars' over there were glad the Edge site died, for example, as it was mostly too l337 and bitchy

I thing the bloke who runs it is Robert-something-something, and the end is UK (although I think the site is actually hosted in the US). The site isn't too concerned about games, really. The biggest areas are Off Topic and Ask The Forum. The good side of the site is, OT is really, really funny. Properly LOL funny. Downside is, it's a very exclusive clique and you won't find yourself breaking into it unless you have a 5,000+ post count.

Back OT, I'm sorry, but those suggestions are crap next to some of the ones the forumites here suggested, which were loads better, both from a gamer's viewpoint and a phonetic/Eng Lang standpoint.

Oh please not 'Teh Game Show'! Might as well call it 'L33T' or something. That name makes it look like it's aimed at the teenagers that do nothing but hang in chatrooms and play Counter Strike. Which is probably the majority of rllmuk's posters come to think of it.

You missed off some of the best suggestions IMO. But there's a few good ones there too...but some of the suggestions from here were really good and would have made a great name for a games show (I'm using 1-Up if I ever start my own games show )

Rllmuk aint that bad, off topic does take time to get into as its a big community but you'll get to know the people there, GG is pretty busy as well, esepcailly compared to here, and its not full of annoying people who bitch about everything, most people are pretty mellow and point people in the right direction a lot.

I must admit I dont like any of the names on the list, there were far better names posted on here. although its the content thast counts some consideration has to be given to the name. "teh game show" is a big no no even is it is a typo.

The main thing is the content which i cant wait for.

any idea when we can see the first episode.
