Thanks for the link, but by the gods that is a confusing mess of a thread!

Good retail games, not good retail games, good exclusive retail games, not good exclusive non-retail games, good non-exclusive non-retail games with non-good reviews,
and about a thousand more sub-of-a-sub-subtitles. I managed to get 23% of the way through before my brain shut down.

Something I've not seen anyone mention is Battle princess of Arcadias.

PSN exclusive seemingly, not on disc, not at retail, not on other systems, only PS3 PSN, and looks like a cros between Odin Sphere and Dragon Force on the Saturn.

Anyone actually play it? It's £25 to buy.

I pretty much only looked at "well-received retail PS3 exclusives that haven't been remastered for PS4" to be fair.

Was that ever released in the UK? I searched on the UK store and no dice.

it was released digital only in both Europe and America. Maybe delisted?

                    Brewers_Krunchy did a vid! Thanks!

I bought some stuff yesterday, but cannot download anything.

Is anyone else having problems downloading from PSN?

I got the error code 80029509. I can access the store, I can buy stuff, but nothing can be downloaded. Not even my older stuff from way back when.

                    EDIT:

Turns out this problem is rampant across the world. Japan, English speaking countries, everyone on Twitter is complaining. You can buy stuff but not download. And allegedly Sony support refuses to deal with it, because they're exclusively supporting PS4 and PS5 now. Can anyone verify this?

I'm not surprised though; the bandwidth of the PS3 store has always been poor; we joked about this years ago.

It's probably just that everyone is piling into the store, and it'll get better in a couple of days.

Probably they have been steadily reducing the bandwidth of the store for years as its popularity has diminished, and demand has suddenly leapt 10,000 fold in the last couple of days, immediately overloading it. Agreed with Asura, they'll get it sorted I'm sure.

                        They should've anticipated it really.

I'm really curious to know (though we never will) about the figures for this.

Sony's only reason to close the store is because its revenue is lower than its maintenance cost (which, given, gets more expensive as time goes on due to security). It's not like closing the PS3 store sells more PS5s, so it isn't really a strategic decision.

I freely admit, I have bought PS3 games on the store in the last 24 months but only a couple. I have to assume the revenue is so low that it's just not worth it for them.

The discs for PS3 are so, so cheap at this point, that I can imagine that the bulk of people still using the machine regularly will be picking up boxed copies of stuff for a couple of quid a pop on the used market.

And then influencers will make videos and PS3 games will rocket in price like Vita stuff did last year.
