If it has drift already surely that's a manufacturing error or user damage?
People have only had it in hand barely 24 hours, that makes Switch look good

Apparently some users are reporting of stick drift already...
I'd honestly be cautious with this stuff. This news attracts so much attention; there are people who are DESPERATE to be the one to break this news.

If only the console manufacturers could do the same thing...

I would imagine updates are going to be quicker on the Steam Deck as they don’t have to worry about firmware hacks et cetera opening up exploits.

Valve expects Steam Deck production to ramp up to the hundreds of thousands of units from next month. Valve has also said that they will soon update the ETA tracking for those who are seeing After Q2 on their order so that they will have a much clearer idea of when their order will be due to proceed.

Where can you see where you're in the "queue" for Steam Deck? I have a pre-order but no idea where I sit.

EDIT: It's on the store page; I'm "After Q2 2022".

LTT say this has amazing streaming capabilities so that should bridge the gap for unsupported games until they become compatible.

Valve will still have to worry about firmware hacks opening exploits - just not for the same reason of allowing unsigned code to run pirated software.

You still don't want firmware to allow unintended remote code execution at any level. A Steam Deck connected to work wifi that can be exploited, say to infect the network with ransomware ... you don't want that (not that you should really be allowing personal devices on work networks by policy). These kind of exploits are difficult to generally test for anyway, which is why they exist in the first place.

If you go into the Steam Deck store page on steam (signed in) look for a blue button half way down the page. It’s the compatibility of your library. It’s split into sections, confirmed working, requires tweaks, not working and untested.
                              Looks good so far.

Those who are hoping to get Destiny 2 running on a Steam Deck will need to think again, as Bungie has said it will issu…

This is something id not thought about, i wonder if any other games with anti cheat stuff will work on the steam deck loading up destiny will get you the message telling you it is not supported. Attempting to circumvent/trick the system so you can play it on the steam deck could result in you getting a ban is what theri saying at the moment .

its a bit of a misleading article as its not saying it will never work but their saying that it doesn't currently work, here i was thinking of this as a portable pc but its kind is and isnt, as it doesn't run windows, so no xbox games like Forza Horizon or epic store stuff like fortnite and no blizzard launcher for World of Warcraft.
