My brother was showing me the time list they put up and how far they are through pre-orders they are per country, its based on the time you pre-ordered and the UK is roughly at the 35 minute mark. He was saying its moving 5 minutes a week so hes looking at a six week wait minimum as he got his order in an hour after logging in.

Well mine turned up a few days after shipping. Only just got around to having a play.
Word of warning the latest beta update has the fan curves set very low, the back of the unit was uncomfortably hot. Reverted to stable for the time being.
So far played some classic half life 2 - runs better than it ever did on my first gaming PC.
HZD - runs ok if you turn the visual effects down to low.
Days gone - As above but a higher visual setting level.
Currently playing Fallout 4 - Even at medium settings this looks better than it ever did on my old PC.
Not tried any emulators yet - I still have my WiiU BOTW disc :-)
Did anyone else take the plunge?

If you're interested in running the 3.0 SteamOS on a desktop PC, there is a beta available now that will allow you to install it. I don't think it's an officially supported version just yet, but some people are having some success with it. At some point I would like to make my main gaming PC a SteamOS machine.

I got my Steam Deck yesterday. It’s a beast of a thing with a very noticeable fan. I guess you guys had mentioned that. I have no idea what the flat pads are for or why I’d ever use them. The rest of the buttons all seem to be in pretty good places for PC games and, even with its size, it feels good in the hand. The screen looks good. And there wasn’t much setup time although games seem to take a bit to load on first play. Seems good so far!
