Depends how you use it. I know right off the bat, I ain't even going to try AAA games on it. I play all the cool indie games that come out on Steam and they tend to run great. Hell, I'm even playing Satisfactory on mine (in desktop mode) and that's running on Unreal 5 engine.

I know if I owned a Steam Deck I’d be using it for the same, Indie and Arcade games and occasional non high spec games.

I bit the bullet and bought a used 64GB Steam Deck this week.

I started looking around Christmas and spent many nights researching. I didn’t bother with an OLED as it would’ve cost almost double.

Turning it on and playing Halo MCC reminded me a lot of how I felt using a PSP for the first time. This may sound hyperbolic, but bear in mind this Is my first experience of even just seeing a Steam Deck in the flesh.

It’s wonderful.

It’s hefty, but it’s lighter than I expected.
It’s huge, but it’s so comfortable to hold. No tension or hand cramps at all, unlike with my Vita (which I bought a grip for) and my Retroid Pocket 3 (which I had to just live with for the Saturn/PS2 goodness).

Halo MCC (with only the Halo CE campaign) took up almost all of the available 45GB, so I installed a 1TB SSD this afternoon.

It’s so nice having an actual PC for this stuff. So much less faffing around compared with jailbroken consoles and even the Retroid.
