I'm totally fine buying Activision games. No reason to avoid this...

On next-gen systems the game looks to be coming in at 95GB without Warzone installed

I don’t believe that for a second. It’ll end up at 200gig plus once all the atrocious d1 patches start to emerge plus warzone on top.

It’s 270.05gb TOTAL size, so that will include single player, multiplayer AND warzone.

Tried the Champion Hill Alpha and it's solid but so unbelievably unremarkable. Essentially, it's an idea for a mode in serious desperate need of some deeper thinking put into it as it's simply just 2v2 team deathmatch. From a gameplay perspective there's none of Treyarchs map work at play here and none of MW's superior gameplay either, it just felt incredibly bland.

Pah! Only account, hardware & ip banning does anything.

Just reading reviews for this and it sounds and looks terrible.

It was already an easy skip this year for me with Halo Infinite looming and Battlefield 2042 being another... sounds like this one will be relegated to a distant third place.

What am I talking about, it'll sell millions despite being trash.

FIFA and COD are the two games that 'blokes down the pub' can play without being seen as 'loser videogame nerds'.

No ladbrokes alpha male is going to be seen playing Zelda. This is why it sells so well.

It’s because they don’t have to be embarrassed about asking their GF for call of duty money after gambling it all away on that “sure bet” again on a Friday, i mean come on that would just be embarrassing asking for a hand out for Zelda.

Tbh I've skimmed the reviews and they're... fine?
There are strong and weak entries and this one seems to be hitting middle of the road which is typical of the non-tentpole entries like MW2019. Seems like it's a pretty generic entry so I imagine it'll trail off like WWII did but it has a much better MP map round up than Cold War did so won't get as stale as it did so quickly. Just seems like a treading water year for COD. Despite the issues I'm much more interested in BF2042, BF4 was a buggy mess at launch but became very special over time so I'm hoping that that game is the one to emerge as the one to focus on. Infinite... well, Halo has always been too early 00's PC gaming vibe for me to maintain an interest in for MP so that's the third placer for me.

I get frustrated at how COD's popularity has staled the FPS market, in the same way that GTAV's popularity is so immense that even other companies won't make open world games of that type anymore so the genre is frozen in time, but to be honest there are much more offensive franchises out there being milked dry
