Do the console versions have English? Is this a good one to jump into the series with? I've played a 360 one for about half an hour but it was all in Japanese so I dropped it.

The Switch releases of X and V have English, as does 30.
I've not looked into the ps4 releases.

Ultimate Edition just adds a bunch of extra missions. Go that route if you are sure you'll make it through the main game (usually 40-50 missions)

"Asian"(Hong Kong) releases have had English as far back as Moon Dwellers. I'd rather play in Japanese, so I've mentioned them but avoided.

If anyone reading is like me in the fact that I like to play in Japanese, once you switch your Switch language to Japanese and start a save file, you can safely switch back to English and the game will load in Japanese instead the next time you load the save file.
