As someone who spent 20 years in software QA you can fix a lot of bugs in 6+ months, but yeah a game of this size and scale, on that engine... it's good they're having a beta.

I can't really comment more than that given we literally haven't seen it past a few snippets. So roll on the beta.

On a serious note i do actually want it to turn out good, I really need a good space game in my life i can sink my teeth into and just get lost in it, No Mans sky just doesn’t click with me and Elite Dangerous is impenetrable.

That's good to hear I reckon. I was worried the game was secretly years away. If it'd been 'Oh yeah, they are screwed, it's not even halfway done', that would've been sadly believable.

But, taking this post at face value (it feels plausible to me), it sounds like the game is most of the way there and they are probably about on-track for 11/11.

It will be a buggy mess, of course. But it always would be, even if they released it after another 4 years of dev

I'm excited for MS's E3-equivalent show in June. I'm thinking they'll probably announce a Starfield LE hardware bundle. Provided it's not the ugliest thing ever I'm gonna go ham to try and preorder one.

Hopefully MS is supporting on making sure there's at least nothing game breaking in there. Hoping it's a better game than Fallout 4 was as well

Oh yeah a Starfield LM console has the potential to look cool.

Xbox have announced their showcase event for June 12th, this includes Bethesda so expect Starfield there.

I'm kinda 50/50... There's all this rumour about stuff I would love, like the Quake remake... plus I'm sure we will see Starfield, Redfall, possibly Forza Motorsport, definitely Forza Horizon 5 DLC, this Halo Battle Royale and potentially a few other things they've managed to keep quiet.

I just hope it's actually decent. It's been so long since the last showcase it's ridiculous.

Despite Bethesda it's really the other acquisitions I'm hoping bear fruit at the showcase. It's been a long while now and without them it's another year of the same franchise names

MS own a lot of good companies now...they all needed to be doing stuff. Its about time they all start showing games, otherwise Xbox risks repeating last gen.

Hopefully its not 20hrs long. The first worked well because it was short and intense, any more and I don’t think i would of carried on to be honest.
