As I'd done the £1 offer previously I had to buy 1 month for £10.99 instead.

I would imagine a software update from Microsoft will make it inoperable but it just highlights how overpriced the official expansion drives are.

Sony seems to have taken the right path with off the shelf solutions.
Sony did get a lot of criticism with both the ps2 memory card prices and the psp memory sticks. No reason at all for them to have been so expensive. It's only because they had you by the balls.
MS doesn't seem to have looked at past mistakes.

Thing is, this is an off the shelf solution... it's a specific size nvme drive inside a compact flash adaptor. Look on ebay and you'll find lots of 3rd party enclosures for drives but right now the xbox locks out any drive which isn't the specific Seagate used one because they have a licensing agreement in place... once that is removed it's free reign as far as I can tell.

Yeah I don't know how long Seagate have a monopoly but if they open it to other companies you'd see the competition force the price down. Equally I'd expect the current Seagate models to drop rapidly in the second hand market so 1tb-2tb cards should actually be reasonable then. Already the cheapest I've seen the 1tb go for is £120 on ebay and around £159 at retail but it yo-yos.

Yeah I've been using the secret reveal stuff recently and it's handy stuff.

Chorus (Chorvs) looks great, I nearly picked that up recently so glad I didn't...

Apparently there's a few more reveals for game pass for June, to tie in with the showcase no doubt.

There's going to be a deeper dive event 2 days after the Xbox showcase next Sunday.

Yeah same as the run time is pretty long for both (sounds like they're both 90m).

I'm going to assume Starfield will get a major look in the second event, maybe Redfall as well... but who knows, they have a lot of studios now and it's a fair bet there'll be 3rd party trailers in the main showcase as they've already mentioned MW2 will be shown (and potentially Warzone 2).
