PS3 Still worth it?

Yes and no, if something ever comes of Sony's Spartacus plans the hardware becomes less essential. Genuine decent quality DS3's are becoming more scarce and the hardware fail rate will be climbing sharply in the coming years. Really depends on factors like what you'll use it for and how much PSNow can cover that

you can use ds4’s now I believe, the one I’m looking at has had its thermal pads replaced or something so hopefully won’t conk out, but I have no idea really. Spartacus if it happens would persuade me to buy a PS5.

I'd definitely say so. Mine is still my primary BD player and also there are so many great games available for pennies now.

Is GTI club still available? Don’t think it is, Daytona I think I have in my old PS3 psn account, Outrun I’d love another copy but way too expensive.

You can use a DS4, I resorted to it as my DS3 sticks became too worn, but rumble and gyro won't work so worth keeping in mind for the handhful of games with the feature. That said, I can't recall any exclusive must haves dependent on those

DS4s also lack the pressure sensitive buttons of the DS2 and DS3, for the few games that use those (off the top of my head I can only think of MGS2 and 3).

1 and 3 are available in the "Arcade Archives", but V has never been available IIRC.

Much as I like physical media for my films I like to travel light with gaming, not exclusively, but a fair bit

Gradius V is definitely in my digital collection on my PS3. I must have bought it at some point.

Binary Domain is on Xbox 360 too and has been added to back cat for Xbox One / Series machines

Speaking of PKGI on a CFW PS3 is pretty great!

CFW will also unlock region free PS1 disc playback, which is nice. Possibly for PS2 too with BC, but I don't think BC is all that.

I wish I still had a 3D TV. The cruise ship section on Uncharted 3 blew my mind when I played it on my old 43" Samsung 3D plasma!
