    Jet Set Radio 3

Riding alongside the new Crazy Taxi peoject, Sega is also said to be in early development of a new JSR entry that will also tap into the Fortnite style F2P structure to revive the IP and capture gamers interest

They should throw in some NFTs to complete the modern video game buzzword bingo.

Oh man, JSF is totally going to get loaded up with NFT crap.

I hope people avoid it if so. I'd hate to have to unfollow another raft of artists.

Telling me there's going to be a new Jet Set Radio and then revealing it to be a free-to-play microtransaction special is a very cruel prank.

Both JSR and CT are wonderful games and entirely products of their time, best left in the past. These new versions will be creatively bankrupt exercises in exploiting existing properties.

Err, no thanks. How about making a real game with a story and reason for playing?

Both games were single player only so its kind of strange that Sega decided on these two to turn into free-to-play multiplayer titles filled with micre transactions. Jet Set Radio I can see working as a team based or battle royale type game with sega selling cosmetics and graffiti designs with the original gameplay remaining intact, but I cannot see how you can do the same for crazy taxi without completely changing the game.

It's all got that distinct 10 years ago stench to it, like when Namco tried F2P'ing its franchises to no good effect. An MTX based Crazy Taxi could work but only really in the sense of adding new courses that players compete at a score level and the MTX's go on vehicles, character skins etc

I would love a true JSRF sequel but I don't think the franchise is very commercial in any guise.

I seriously think Jet Set Radio needs to be left the hell alone.

Because - and sorry in advance - but I honestly don't think they were very good games. Future was better but even so. I feel that their (at-the-time) novel art and music style helped really push them further than they should have gone, and we're not yet at a point where that's retro, it just feels dated.

So, this was overlooked but has come up again because the original 'leak' has since had several things emerge as being true including aspects relating to Sonic Origins, the existence of Jet Set Radio 3 and also Crazy Taxi 4. If the rest of the leak is to be believed we're also getting:

                      Virtua Fighter 6
Developed by RGGS in Dragon Engine with the characters being older and Kiryu added to the roster

                      Yakuza 8
                      The expected sequel with Ichiban

                      Demon Slayer

Mario and Sonic at the 2024 Olympic Games

                      Sonic the Hedgehog 5
Headed to Switch at a minimum

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk will be the closest we get to a JSR 3

My main concern with that game is that the imitator titles are usually a very pale imitation of the thing you love. I don't know why a JSRF remaster is so hard for Sega

A few seconds supposedly leaked from a Sega Investors meeting in 2021

If that's legit, I do like the look. It's not as clean and contrast heavy as original JSR, but it looks so unique and distinctly JSR.

This feels like the first Sega game in years that's next generation in feel but not a port.
