The thread title is a bit of a long ball considering this could be a project of any nature but Konami has just renewed its trademark on the franchise just ahead of its reveal of a fan favourite franchise at TGS

I'd love a Suikoden collection for modern consoles i had both games on ps1 but the price they command now has kept me away from picking them up again. One and Two where fantastic i remember loving the team building that added more and more stuff to your castle things like recruiting a blacksmith added the ability to refine weapons ect. I always called my castle Grey skull

A modern take on the original Suikoden would be great with the castle building and recruiting mechanic, Im not sure the turn based mechanics of the game would stand up for today's gamers very well a hybrid action rpg would make more sense financially.

Eiyuden chronicle 100 heroes looks like it might scratch the Suikoden itch too, the original creators of Suikoden and Suikoden 2 are working on this and its a spiritual successor to the first two games.
