Also mentioned in the Nintendo Direct, free for NSO+Expansion. Can't find any mention of the price on Switch though...don't tell me they are keeping it a NSO exclusive, that would be stupid.

[edit] And Game Pass exclusive, too. Hopefully limited to the online services on both platforms, sounds like a wasted opportunity not to have the title available without an online subscription of some kind.

I was going to say it has to be coming to game pass but really nice it's getting a switch version

You do realise that that's EXACTLY what Nintendo are going to do, right? In their mind, why would they give people a reason not to subscribe to NSO + Expansion Pack by releasing Goldeneye 007 outside of it??

The only rationale of having Goldeneye locked behind NSO and Gamepass is that there's already something in place with Limited Run Games or similar to launch a physical edition a few months after the initial publication.

This being such an iconic game, they'll find the best way to rinse as much cash as possible.

It's been confirmed that only the Switch version will have online play... WTAF?

What a disappointment. I can only presume there is some licensing / contractual limitation at play there as that's a huge omission.

If you don't have GamePass but do have Rare Replay then you get GoldenEye for free too!!

So, Gamepass 4K, Switch online multiplayer. I wonder what kind of licencing issues there are for that. Can't really see Nintendo paying for online multiplayer and MS sitting there doing nothing.

Sweet, even I have Rare Replay, even though I don't have a compatible console right now...But I'm not getting the NSO expansion just for that, I have the cart sat on the shelf behind me.

Again, I'd be willing to bet that there won't be a physical version of Goldeneye coming to the Switch. The rationale is clearly to try and get more Switch users to sub to NSO + Expansion Pack by making this an "exclusive", IMO. An independent physical release literally defeats the purpose of Nintendo going through the hassle of putting it on NSO + Expansion Pack in the first place.

                          We'll see though.

If anyone with just an Xbox really wants online multiplayer just get Perfect Dark instead. It makes Goldeneye’s MP totally redundant.
