Realistically, I can't see myself buying any new games with my backlog.

I really enjoyed The Forest, but I think the sequel (Sons of The Forest) is PC-only.
I'll get EDF6 if it gets a UK release.

What's that other one that's looking a bit EDFesque? Co-op shooter in space?
wow, that really doesn't narrow it down.

Also, that dino looter shooter looks interesting, but I fear it's mainly being made to make money rather than be a good gaming experience.

(I've written this before Neon has had chance to write the list!)

Like a Dragon for me, that's the only one on there I feel I have to play.

Oops - missed a few when I went over this. Sorry Zelda. Few here that I'll play at some point but think my most anticipated one here is SF6 - fan response to what we know already definitely suggests that it's going to be very good. Very keen for FFXVI too, and quietly hoping that Yoshi P is able to repeat the magic he did with FFXIV.

What I would note though is that most of my favourite games from this year were all ones I had no expectations of at the start of the year. All these big names are good and well, but I'm most excited for all the little things that spring up out of nowhere and do things a bit different.

I really enjoyed Dead Island both times I played it, so the sequel could be good.

There's a lot here to look forward to, for me. Starfield is my most anticipated game. Premium Bethesda jank, this time with a 'NASA-punk' thing going on? Put it in my veins. I will be buying an Xbox just to play it.

Apart from that, I ticked the Horizon and The Dark Pictures VR games as I'm looking forward to playing those on my VR headset, Zelda 2 (of course), Atomic Heart because that looks v intriguing, Resi 4 Remake (a must play considering how good the Resi remakes have been so far), and Baldur's Gate 3. I've recently been getting quite into my CRPGs, via Disco Elysium then Planescape: Torment, so the idea of a state of the art one from Larian is very intriguing indeed. Plus, this one is fully optimised for Apple Silicon, so I should be able to run it fine on my Mac even though it uses advanced/modern visuals.

So, yeah. Very positive outlook for me.

Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of a Kingdom and Wolf Among Us 2 out of the ones listed. Star Trek Resurgence is not listed but I am really itching to play it.

I'm not sure what my my anticipated game is right now but 2023 is looking like a huge improvement over 2022.

Street Fighter 6 is the big one for me. Really interested in seeing the next Test Drive game. Fingers crossed for that. Also, FF16. The game has a GoT tone to it. I reckon it's gonna be a goodun. Excited to go back to pure sword and shield style FF.

Ah damn, I didn't vote for RE4:REmake! More Like A Dragon can only be a great thing! Still hoping we see a Metroid game oh and Nintendo are still sitting on Advance Wars which got held off release due to the war in Ukraine.

Starfield? Skyrim in space. Free on GP. May as well eh?
