Before the internet we had local free ad papers. People listed their SNES with a box full of games for £10. You called up, bought it and then had an extended drunk Mario Kart blast. That doesn't happen any more because the moment something is discontinued the eBay price fixing kicks in.
Was recently trying to get another SNES Mini after mine stopped working and the used ones are almost as much as they were new. Thats insane. Its the same with pretty much anything really but games especially. I used to always buy older generation consoles when the new one came out as it was so much cheaper. That doesn't really happen now and definitely no more £10 SNES bargains either.
