Which games are you HYPE for right now?

The only pre-orders I’ve got outstanding at the moment are remakes or rereleases; Grim Grimoire, Osman, Batsugun and Shikigami no Shiro II. I’ll definitely play Starfield but there’s very few games I get hype as f**k for anymore.

I forgot about Osman I have that pre-ordered too. Reallty looking forward to it. Whenever that is...

Loads of stuff pre-ordered, but Street Fighter 6 is the one.

Also agreed that Plucky Squire looks incredible, almost to the point where I feel like it can't possibly live up to my expectations. What a trailer, though.

I'm hyped to play some PSVR2 games ... but the potentially marriage-ending cost of entry (unless I can get away with Colin's 'already in the basket' excuse ) is holding me back a bit.

Rez and Tetris blew my mind on the original hardware and I can't imagine how amazing they are on the new one. Can't wait to play them one day.

SF6 for me. Having played it, I really can't wait. It's going to be superb.

I'm also looking forward to Starfield, but I'm not exactly what you'd called hyped about it. Like others here, I don't mind a bit of jank, but hopefully MS have made sure the game is actually playable and doesn't randomly bug out and stop you progressing, etc.

Mainly a Western release for EDF6.
I just love these games. I've yet to find another game series as great.
Sadly, there's nothing on the horizon, yet.

It's not in-keeping with the thread, but I'm no longer buzzed about the latest games because when I finish my to-play pile, digital backlog and PS+ backlog, I can pick something up in the sales.

Like, Dead Island 2 looks great, but I'm more likely to convince some mates to get something like Dying Light for a tenner, rather than splash £60 on a new game.

Don't mind me, though, I'm loving the enthusiasm for the HYPE!

Absolutely naff all and it's been like that for some time. There are a fair few games I would be hyped for in theory but at this point every publisher and developer under the sun seems content to go multiple generations allowing their IP to stagnate rather than release anything using them so as things stand it's all money left on the table.

Having spent approaching the last half-a-year on Elden Ring (still not done), I'm excited that FROM are going to make another Armored Core game.

Love me some giant mechs and the presentation is just spot-on.

It's also worth noting that alongside Armored Core and the Elden Ring DLC, FROM are also working on another, as yet unnamed, title!

The music is very Bladerunner, but fits perfectly. The wordage 'cinder', very soulsy. The look of the mech with baggage very 'hanging on by thread'. We getting Armoured Souls here?

I remember when it came out and I was desperate to play it, but I'm watching the pennies.
Someone on here said "Well, this is my gaming for the next year" and I can see what they meant.

I was visiting some earlier merchants to buy smithing stones to upgrade some weapons, when I realised I'd not been there for ages, so I'm even contemplating mooching around again, to soak up the atmosphere a bit more.
Maybe I'll spend a session riding from one end of the map to the other, drinking in the differences in the various areas.

It's exciting to think I have Dark Souls 2 and 3 and Bloodborne still to play.

I know it's not upcoming, but I'm also looking forward to finally playing Sifu - a game that's screaming for me to play it!
Waiting for a good sale or PS+ release.

Your in for a treat with Bloodborne i always wanted to go back and do the dlc but i can barely get time to play new stuff so this is probably not gonna happen anytime soon. Whenever i here Someone reference Sifu it makes me think of the acronym shut the f up, in the same way my brain turns first play threads for nintendo switch from NSW to NSFW.
