Do you Cloud/Remote game?

I tried some Quake II again last night and it was pretty good. Seems the service can be pretty hit and miss.

Most people here don't take it seriously at all and understandably. Both Sony and MS seem to be into it big time, but do they themselves know how hit and miss it can be and not really fit for some of the game that they feature on Cloud service? What needs to happen to make it a solid option to play on? A major scientific breakthrough?

Shiz, Sony have a new piece of hardware coming out for remote gaming - it better do something else amazing just in case.

I keep meaning to try it on my Smart TV. Apparently you can connect the Xbox pad to it wirelessly, and play Xbox games using just the telly.

Nope, it sucks and in 99% of cases there's a better alternative in the moment even when it's considered. The rate at which handheld gaming tech has improved has really kicked the legs out from under it and there's pretty much no scenario it's useful. If you're not that into gaming you're unlikely to care to just enough of an extent to bother with it and buying a controller, setting up the app etc. If you are into gaming you're likely to own a gaming device or being experienced enough to find it the worst way to experience a title and just opt for an alternative. Another unrealised 'gaming future'

Some form of quantum entangled controller that responds instantly to input at the server side.

My connection is dog slow. Even serving games via Steam over LAN feels pretty bad though, possibly adequate for games that don't have any kind of active gameplay.

I've been remote playing Starfield from my Series S to Steam Deck (downstairs to upstairs) over the weekend and the performance has been really solid. Like seemingly perfect.
