To remind you, you're limiting that 4060 by running it on a PCIe 3 platform (8x 3.0 is effectively 16x 2.0). I don't think a 5700X3D is a bad buy right now, especially if you're wanting to carry over existing RAM. That'll let your 4060 run as it is designed to (just make sure you go for a board with PCIe 4 support) and you'll have a decent CPU too.

The difference will probably be less than 5%.

I saw that game and ....something just really really does not look right about it, i cannot put my finger on it could be the use of AI but i dunno if its just me but there seems to be very little animation as well with ships seemingly just being rotated

There were some RTX 5090 back in stock at CCL this evening, but the cheapest available was £2599 - I've seen cheaper scalper cards on eBay, so I passed on that. Still sold out though, so they're all gone again now. It does look like stock is starting to become a little bit more available.

The prices have been coming down on the UK sites, still no sign of any reference cards, but stock is definitely more available now. Overclockers have a 5070 at £499, 5080 at £999 and 5060 Ti 16GB for £399. You're still going to pay a lot for a 5090 (I doubt we're going to see many of those below £2K), but the eBay scalpers are going to start struggling now.

There's a single 8GB model for £349, but I think I'd skip that card.
