    Yes and no.

I lost patience with Bungo years back.

Now all I see are their lies, their BS and hollow promises to do better (which, by coincidence are only ever uttered when an upcoming expansion is due for sale / sales are not where Bungo want them to be), their baffling decisions, their long silences on key issues, their neglect on key areas of the game, their aggressive greed / monetisation, their removal, reskinning and reselling of content, their desire to not overdeliver etc.

Ah, I'm just bitter. Love(d) the gunplay, it's sublime. But I despise the company even more.

In comparison look at what Arkane Austin did this year they Launched an unfinished game and then went radio silent for months, nothing was said about features people had paid for with the deluxe edition before they eventually dropped them, no communication at all before dropping a patch completely out of the blue.

Good showing for Sony in the VR Category, Horizon was a great game cinematic and jaw dropping in places with very fun climbing and shooting mechanics, The haptics and scale of the game where a great showcase for what you can do in VR, having one of the Tall necks walk over you and looking up at this towering colossus was an amazing experience the scale and immersion of it is something you cant do in any other medium.
Wasn't the last expansion universally hated though and part of the reason for the layoffs was the severe drop off of player counts after?

It's also a frustratingly difficult game to get into if you haven't been playing ongoing for years. I honestly wouldn't know what DLC/Bundle is the most recent at this point. Plus you have the sunsetting of lots of content...

I am surprised they got nominated and I am sure those let go would be scratching their heads right now. If it wins I am sure they'd be pretty angry about it all.

Light Fall isn't up for game of the year, its up for an award on how well the developer responds to and supports its community:

          from the GOTY website

Recognizing a game for outstanding community support, transparency and responsiveness, inclusive of social media activity and game updates/patches.
They don't always get it right but that's the pitfalls of being open with your community, the last dlc wasn't well received but they have been updating and adding to destiny since 2014 and its only just seeing a drop off in player numbers.

They should be their i doubt they will win. I think No Mans Sky or cyberpunk should win the category though, as Balders Gate is to early in its life cycle and not even out on xbox yet to see if the devs stick with it and keep adding to it.

It's an awkward one to judge. Where a studio engages with the community providing regular updates, patches, responsiveness etc should be recognised a game shoudl eb ruled out if it's done so on the basis of fixing a bad product. No Man's Sky is in the place where it's well past beiong fixed from its launch woes and is continuously supported and its userbase nurtured by the team which has resulted in a lot of good will. Cyberpunk has mostly just been fixed from a bad launch and given a DLC expansion like how Destiny is handled too. If you're launching a product or dealing with a low quality release then it's not outstanding community support, just part of the PR of brand management. It implies a level of 'above and beyond' so out of those Hello Games should get it.

What is the point of a “Most Anticipated” category? I cannot see one.
