Taiko no Tatsujin question.....

Hey all,

Having played Donkey Konga recently (and thoroughly enjoyed it!) I am interested in getting Taiko no Tatsujin.

Can some one advise me on what are the best version to get.

As far as I am aware there are 4 versions out...

2 and 4 don't come with a drum.

1 is damn expensive, and comes with a drum.

3 isn't quite as expensive (I picked up my copy for ?60 inc. delivery).

That's as far as I know anyway....

They all rock, so no matter which one you get, you'll have fun

I would go with 3 + Controller. A great introduction to the series. I think Play Asia offer a good price. I've just no 4 and the fact there are only 18 songs is a bit of a let down. I also recommend a 2nd controller as 2 plyr as an absolute hoot.

This is a great game and will guarentee excellent fun.

As implied, the only significant change between releases is the songlist.

There are also different minigames.

For the sake of cost, I'd recommend a Taiko 3 + drum set too

Having said all that, Taiko 4 is possibly the weakest unless you're very familiar with Anime TV themes. At least with 1 - 3 you'll recognise something.
