Probably Capcom is releasing a new console. You read it here first, folks, at totally unfounded scurrilous rumour central.

And P Diddy said that Halo 2 would be released on 15th Nov 2003. It was on an advert no one saw. And Sega is making Shenmue III as some guy who worked in a gamestore said so. And god knows what else, and the Megaton was about some comic strip series in the end, wasn't it?

I would not trust a web journalist or an internet user, for that matter, if they said "We're going to die" when we were lined up in front of firing squad. Until I see it on gametrailers.com, I don't believe anything.

No offense. "But hey, we have cartoons drawn of ourselves. It's like, an homage to Penny Arcade, except we don't get the point of PA!"

Maybe I'm imagining things, but didn't Biohazard 4 come out ages ago? Or was that something different to Resident Evil 4? EDGE reviewed it, I'm sure...

That was Biohazard 0, the prequel to Resident Evil.

That was it! I get them all so confused. No, but that featured a prison convict.(???) This dude was wearing a bomber jacket and had floppy hair. And grainy visuals. Or was that a preview?

Aw, I don't know why I care. Can't stand the games personally.

Clearly from what this hype post is talking, at IGN, is the Megaman collection.

It rocks -Rockman- or it could be The Thing from Fantastic Four getting his own game. No matter how you slice it Megaton's never go out of style.

Preview of Biohazard 4 aka Resident Evil 4. It looked nang.

Ooh, conservative Japanese publisher releases sequel to successful series. What a surprise. We so needed that hyping up. Stupid wankers.

Capcom can hardly be called conservative.

With games like Onimusha, Devil May Cry, Chaos Legion, Tekki, Viewtiful Joe, PNO3, Gotcha Force, Tech Romancer Powerstone and others, they make just as many new franchises and experiments as they do sequels, far more so than most other companies.

Perhaps Max, but I have to admit that I am slightly disappointed that it is 'just' RE4 that they were talking about.

Fully appreciate that this hype was not Capcom's doing (once again the press shoulder the blame) but the way they were talking this was going to BIG news, but it turns out it's just that "RE4 is the r0><><0r" which we all knew it was going to be anyway. I just thought maybe it was a big surprise, something which we haven't seen for some time now.

Still, RE4 is fantastic eh? Brilliant

What can I say? I read too much redEye.
Perhaps, but when Capcom releases several year old ports with not even a graphical update on a next-gen system I can't but help feel

I love Capcom, but they do seem to rely on certain franchises one hell of a lot.
Same with Nintendo, I'd quite happily level the conservative comment against them, and if I played their games (but I don't so I can't comment), Koei.
I don't see it as a bad thing. It makes business sense. But admit it, part of Steel Batallion's charm and novelty was that it was from Capcom, the last company on Earth you'd think do such a thing.
I still love Capcom, and I still think of them as conservative. I'm glad, otherwise they wouldn't still be around.
