Sounds good to me, lets hope the additional element is Tatsujin movies again.

I've currently got this on pre-order at Play-Asia, but I might cancel it, as I am really struggling with 6th Style (7 keys, beginner mode), which is my first IIDX game. Try as hard as I can I can't get my head round the faster note combos, and its a little depressing as I don't have any problem with 9 line Pop n Music (on normal anyway).

Any ideas what I am doing wrong, or is 6th Style just rock?

Nah man if you enjoy the sort of game ... beatmania / pop n music / guitar freaks etc. Trust me i got my IIDX games 3 and a bit years ago and i still cant pass ALL the seven key songs let alone all the another songs.

It takes time ... took me about 7 months before i could pass 5 Star 7 Key songs... practise, play some 5 key whatever you will get it... remember in training mode you can slow the songs down... makes learning the fast movin bits easier...

Trust me 7th Style will be a good investment !!! 7th had the best songs and no doubt it shall include some 8th and 9th style ones which all are excellent too !!!

Thats good to here, I'll keep at it.

I also hope they include the Tatsujin movies, normally you have to pay to see such combo madness in the form of an appreciate DVD.

If they could do a custom beatmania mode where you could add tracks for the ps2 hdd and make your own tracks that would be cool. But since it's coming out in may i doubt they would have enough development time

Even net play would be cool

I have 2 copies of this on order one from playasia and another from Himeyasoft as noone is sure if Playasia are ordering direct from Konamistyle which is the only way to get 7th Style.

Konami also held a poll for those registered on konamistyle the other week to see which 8thStyle track would make it in, I think Giudecca is the mostly likely to win (it's what I voted for as well).

Those of you who play IIDX a lot also need to check out this site http://vjarmy.com/iidx/ , it's basically a ranking site made for western players that calculates your grades for each and every song, takes a while to put in your scores but it's an excellent way to keep tabs on your progress on each Style.
