Arcade PCBs ~ The gamer and printed circuit boards ^^

Ever thought of buying/building something to play PCBs on? I have building one down as my 'project' for summer, when work is a lot quieter.

If you already have, let us all know what was involved in you getting up to 'arcade standard' (prices, sources etc.), and what games you have. Can't wait to finally dip into the PCB world ^^

I was lucky enough to buy one from my local arcade (he has loads for sale but is based on the South Coast). Whilst I love playing on Mame x and via Superguns, you can't beat the proper feeling of actually standing infront of a proper machine

Buying a cab is not on my agenda due to lack of space to fit one in - but i am looking at investing in a supergun and some old school pcb's to get me started

been speaking to a few peeps and building a supergun seems cheap enough - though i will probably be using icq a lot when the time comes

Ive got a generic 3 button cab that takes up 3 feet by 3feet, could you not manage something that size

I'd love a cab, but it's never going to happen. I could live with a Pacman or Asteroids cocktail cab, but that'd be it.

If I could get Turtles for 200 snarlers, I think I'd have to re-evaluate my position.... 8)

I still live in hope that it will one day be mine, that's why I've kept the actual location secret

Heh heh. So it's open-ended then, basically? He has it and you can get it whenever you like? Well, PM me if you really aren't ever going to take him up on it, as I'd jump at the chance....
