Steel Battalion: LoC - Anyone getting it next week/month?

I dont have xbox live, otherwise Id have it pre-ordered.

Simaltaneous US/JPN release, next week or so says release dates.
And the 27/03/04 for the EU.

Having absolutely loved the first, and finding it to be a terrifying experience thanks to the threat of deleted of saves, more so than the best fear survival horrors can muster, I am watching eagerly to see if anyone here picks it up, plays it online, and posts their views on it.
Now I just need to find a friend with a copy and live support.


So, anyone getting SB:LoC when its released?
Any other major SB fans here?

Any thoughts in general? Possibly an NTSC "platoon team" being set up?

Yes. After recently picking up the original with the controller, I'll be subscribing onto Xbox Live specifically for this game.

Can't wait, as it has the potential to be more than just a little special.

I didn't realise it was a global release. I'm out in Japan next week and was going to pick up a copy but I might wait till I get back and get the PAL version.

Having said that I'm visiting Capcom so they might be kind and give me a copy for free.... but I doubt it.

This game should rock over XBL. We should take some pics with our controller setups and XBL mics on lol

oops, my mistake, SB is released in the usa on 02/26/04 and 03/27/04 for the EU.
US and Japan as far as I can tell get it the same day.

Damn! Dodgy way of writing dates in the US, having the month first totally threw me, and I thought PAL was released this month. Oh well, live and learn.

Ahh ok. I wonder If the Jap version will have support for English text. This can be the case when US/JP games get released on the same day.

When it is out, please check if their is region coding in the game as I fancy picking up a PAL one if I get a new job quickly.

Have you been checking out the Steel Battalion Central website Brats?
Filled with all kinds of nerdy info an SB fan could want.
One guy even transcribed all the text in the boot up sequence moniter.

Some of them are also playing the beta trial version I think, so plenty of info.
Looking at the releases, with the PAL being only a month later than the US version, its not really worth importing.
