geektanic, the languages are interchangable, mix to your hearts content.

I think the camera is an issue though. For people who played the demo, its not so much a problem there, but for instance, the airship level, the corridors and rooms are small, and the camera can get you into awkward situations.

I don't know how much you spoiled the game for yourselves, but on purpose I avoided looking at images of the game before release. Really was pleasent to see:

/me waits for the "that's better than your normal reviewing technique" gags
Though you were just kidding with the spoof review, there was a sense of honesty and directness that is arguably missing from your "proper" reviews. Perhaps you do need to take a new direction.

          Morning

Had a four hour session on this game last night, so I've seen a fair bit now. I'm not a fan of seeing CGI in a game, but in NG's case, the CGI complements the actual in-game graphics, it never feels like an intrusion or that its breaking a connection with the in-game engine. They really put a lot of effort and detail into the CGI.

Seen five bosses so far, and while each is impressive I breezed through 4 of them without dying. Upto that point I was dissapointed, but then I reached the

I forgot to tell you lot that you can run across water too, pretty cool huh?

Anyway, the game really has opened up now, a huge hub in the city, golden scarabs to collect (bit like the spiders in Zelda) and right now I'm feeling quite overwhelmed in what I can accomplish. I've managed to get hold of a weapon that destroys certain walls, so a lot of backtracking is necessary now.

            When is the PAL release?

I'd import, but I'd like to access the Live features.

Hmm, not looking too good for EU.

Gamefaqs are usually reliable with release dates. Although they give a '2004' date.

Whereas tothegame.com give a 12th May release date

Apparently if u get yr X-Brick modded with a switch to turn the chip on/off micro$oft won't be able to detect it, correct me if i'm wrong. Crys at desk at not being able to afford Ninja Gaiden modding of X- Brick, MGS: TS and Winning Eleven 7: Internatioanl. Heh i have Onimusha 3 tho so it ain't all bad.

Well, I can alter the region of the box so that it plays NTSC games without the modchip on, but its hardly worth the risk of Microsoft going "Ooh, lookie, NTSC game running on an Xbox with a PAL serial number with PAL Live dashboard connecting to PAL servers, YOU SIR ARE Mc****ED!" is it?

I just performed the 'Izuna Drop' on a ninja, that move was in DOA if I recall correctly.

I'm fighting a gimp called Alma right now, and she's the hardest boss I've come across so far, shes a tough one.

                      Thanks for the impressions.

Real question though, is it as good as they say? Im reading impressions from GA and ign forums, they're all going crazy over it. Some are saying they prefer it to Halo

Come down from the hype cloud, and its just a good, highly polished game IMO. Some nice stuff in there & some inventive bosses/goons, great presentation, sharp sound, nice graphical touches/details. It doesn't have the Halo factor for me though, Halo shocked with its innovation and people still replay that game to this day. As big as NG seems to be though, I seem to be breezing through it, have to see how that pans out. There just saying it's better than Halo because NG is the new cool game at the moment, & ninjas are cool though aren't they Not to mention the big breasted woman covered in demon juice

Some of the people i know through XBL are not easily pleased and they seem to be in awe over NG. God damn i cant wait, i think i might have to take tomorrow off. But then i got a flash assignment to do

Bah, i'll do it over the weekend
