Jinx! I managed to post the same pic (decent Ulala attempt, not either of the iffy Ulala attempts) on another forum just a couple of hours afore ye.

Think of the time that went into getting that costume together... Kudos to cosplay people. I'd have neither the time nor the guts to do it. Nor the money. Nor the inclination, to be honest

After this thread rekindled my love affair with the first game, I gave in and bought the PS2 PAL version of Part 2 (some wrapped, shop-new ones going on eBay for ?20, if anyone's after it). The first level was a major disappointment - the animation seems stunted compared to the first game, the music falls flat (instead of grabbing you by the balls and injecting them with pure funk juice, it just gives them a little tickle with a feather duster) and there's no groove. Where's my pink-haired space disco groove, goddamit?

But then the second level rolls around, and all is right with the world. The variety, the visuals, the brilliant campy feel, the humour - it's Space Channel 5 to the power of Barbarella mutliplied by The Jetsons on a Broadway stage. I am in

AHHHHHHHHH! Stop this thread. Please, you are making me feel so ill. When I was in Japan I saw so many copies of this game going cheap on the Dc and I passed them up cause i thought I would not play it.

3rdnode: part 1, or part 2? 'cause part 1 for the dc's pretty common, and both play-asia and lik-sang have it for a little over a fiver. the cheapest i've seen dc part 2 outside of ebay is about ?30, though...

oh, and yay, horrible cosplayers! (apart from the last one) - me and the girl i shall be forcing to dress as pudding spent like two hours trawling the net for horrible cosplay pics yesterday. dear god, if you thought *those* were bad...

i really don't get how so many people manage to completely **** up ulala's costume. it's really simple, but the number of sc5 cosplayers i've seen with necklines all over the place, icky loose gloves, neon pink hair (or... eww... their real hair, badly dyed...), great big bellies hanging over their skirts... i mean, yeah, fair enough, if they're enjoying themselves then more power to 'em. but surely most of the point of cosplay is showing off, and they just look all... crappy.

there's a good evila and a semi-rubbish evila out there, too... although why people insist on trying to cosplay characters with, like, non-flesh skin tones, i'll never know.

I think I saw part one for under a fiva and part two for around ten quid. I am not quite sure tho.
