What is the best Cricket game on any format?

Lately I have been playing Brian Lara 96 on the Megadrive and I was wondering if there has been a better version...anyone know?

Brian Lara 96 is pretty good. There is a later Brian Lara game on PlayStation and PC from about 1998 I think which is definitely worth tracking down. It has been re-released a couple of times on budget labels so should be cheap and easy to find.

Super International Cricket on SNES is my personal favourite. It hasn't got real names and is a bit slow, but I find it more fun overall and easier to get to grips with. It's also got the single greatest feature that's missing from cricket games - the 'Howzat!' button (although overuse of it can be really annoying to your mates ). Sadly though I don't think it's been updated on a more recent format.

I haven't played some of the more recent EA cricket games, but the last one I bought didn't even have left-handed batsmen .

Cricket 2004 is probably the best cricket game available. It's still far from perfect though and in the end I found it to be far too fiddly especially the batting. It does have some nice touches though and the bowling is almost perfect.
