    Timesplitters 2 Mapmaker

This was probably covered over a year ago when TS2 first came out (although a quick search didn't come up with anything) but despite having played the game on and off for a while now I've only just started messing around with the mapmaker facility. It seems to have great potential and I'm looking forward to designing some fiendish maps to challenge mates to complete.
Has anyone else experimented with this or come up with anything they're particulary proud of? Or perhaps there's a site where people can share designs that have proved successful? (It all reminds me of Worms on PSone and trading level codes that created the best landscapes. Man, we discovered some doozies...)

Not to answer my own question but...

Webs.com has been shut down on the 31st of August 2023. Find out what that means for your site and how to move it to another provider.

That Resident Evil map sounds interesting, get cracking man and give me a shout when its done.

I had an idea for a map this morning on the way into work but it would be for two players so may have to wait for TS 2.

Basically you would have two long corridors running next to each other with windows between them and intersecting at certain points. Start points would be at the beginning of each corridor (so you start next to each other but in different corridors) and there would be various obstacles and enemies on the way to the end goal. You would need to race the other player to the goal. You would be able to see your opponent through the windows and could meet up at various intersections for running gun battles as you leg it to the finish.

      Just an idea.

        Ahhh, memories.
I once made the qualitiest map ever. Using the 'zones' you can make a game of king of the hill...which I went over-the-top with and made a small hill....within a MASSIVE hill, with warps in-between. Man it was quality.

*goes off to play it again*

Oh, and this site is great: it has an online mapmaker with all the pieces and everything! (click on the editmap button)

I made a 'Resident Evil' singleplayer map in TS2!! 8)

It was quality too. You had to play through the whole level with no weapon in near-darkness; and sleeping zombies lay in the shadows. If you woke one up, mission fail. Switches could be activated to kill certain zombies... opening up new areas for exploration. I was dead chuffed with it.

I also made a points-based, single-room insane blasting level. The higher your points, the more guys spawn in the room. By the time it got to 900 points, it was completely mental. Good stuff.

Nooo, I remember that one! It was scary!

I also thought the level I made where I made a trap so you fell into this room full of monkeys was jokes too

            HAHA, eviiiill

I remember recreating Bunker and trying to get guards patrolling, but running out of the 'memory' when it came to placing my playerstart, and so I had to delete all but 4 enemies and only one could patrol. Hopefully the next'll be better - or at least, the Xbox version will be more optimised to allow for more shenanigans.

I thought it was really annoying the way the filesize of the custom maps was limited to 2 blocks (GC). What's up with that? That's fecking tiny, especially considering Nintendo's new 'Memory Card 1019'

If I had, say six blocks of memory to play with... ****. No crappy 10-enemy limit for a start. Dammit, I would've actually made Resi.

Ah well. Now I have a good PC, I shall be moving on to Far Cry's levelage kit. Mwahaha.

Bunker? Bunker? I tried to make Complex for ****'s sake...

needless to say I ran out of memory...the map i got off a site was actually from two seperate TS2 maps.

I did make a heavy version of Grid from Perfect Dark though, no glass in the middle, mind, but it was ace - especially when you could see the game
