Segapark.com: The worst website ever?

I seriously suggest you lot head on over to http://www.segapark.com. Besides looking like wank, not being updated in THREE YEARS (still doesn't acknowledge Brighton Sega Park), it is also home to possibly the funniest message board on the entire planet.

Honestly, this place is worse than dancegames.com back in the day. Does Sega know they have their name and badly reproduced logo all over this heap of ****? Sega Amusements themselves have a butt ugly flash thing at http://www.sega-amusements.co.uk/ which is a bit better, but Sega Amusements Japan runs a fantastic, daily updated arcade site with videos, tourneys and the lot, on ALL their titles!

The sooner we get our collective heads together and create a nice big arcade-oriented site of forums and **** for all games with locations and stuff all easily accessable in a pleasant gamefaqs stylee (albeit without gimps), the better. http://www.projectzen.co.uk is a nice stab, but it seems to be just full of crazy Initial D playing chaps at the moment.

Bah, I should stop moaning. At least we have arcades.

Working in a Segapark was my first job ^^

It started out REALLY good! The centres were very well maintained and the general standard of operation was very high. But that only lasted just over a year when everything went completely stupid - everything from the branding to the operation of the centres just went downhill so quickly it was shocking.

I think the downfall was because of the morons Sega brought in to deal with these places. All the operators know about here is gambling and seedy, smoky arcades - they have no idea how to operate the Japanese style FECs (Family Entertainment Centres) which the Segaparks were based on.

Then Segaworld happened - that place was nothing but a huge disaster from time the doors opened.
