Has anyone ever noticed this before?
Olimar's original Japanese name is Orima. His name constitutes three japanese basic syllables, o-ri-ma. These are the same three syllables that make up the name 'Mario', but in reverse order.
Looking at the Pikmin 2 website I notice that Orima's brother, who looks a bit like Olimar except with a longer face, is called 'Rui'. This will probably become 'Louie' in the English language version. Hmmmm, I wonder how Miyamoto came up with that? His fertile imagination knows no bounds!
