How many consoles do you own?

And why?
Everyone likes to show off about their 4 limited edition X-Boxes but for what reason do you have them?
For me it is the DC for the arcade pertfect beat-em-ups,as i dont think it canbe bettered in this area.

Iv got them because i feel like iv got something that the majority dont and that they will rise in value. I know this is the case because i have had extortionate offers for my Green xbox because of the lack of availability of them anymore. I wont sell it though because its teh RAR311111!!!!

I probably have gone a bit mad with the number of consoles i own because my parents only used to allow me to have one console. I had to sell my Dreamcast to get a GC. Iv only just recently bought back the N64.

I do agree with what Ginza says, I tend to stray away from normal edition consoles and try get as rare / limited edition's as my budget will allow.

I use the White Xbox to play my Imports on, the Crystal One solely for
Pal games and Live. I also use the GameCubes on a similar basis, and the GBA SP's are one a piece for me and the wife

i've got a PAL dreamcast, saturn, n64 (my girlfriend's, but currently living in my wardrobe) and a ps2. oh, and a gba sp. the ps2's for my rhythm action and (when i get it chipped) RPG fix, the DC's all about the shooters and 2d fighters (and samba!), the saturn's kinda unused right now, but will be stuffed with japanese imports of things like nights when i get around to 60hz-modding it. and the gba sp i play in bed. the n64? i don't really know. i'm gonna re-buy jet force gemini at some point, i guess.

i've always thought i'd really like to pick up some of the limited-edition consoles - the resale value would be nice, i guess, but also they just tend to look nicer. particularly the ceramic ps2. oh, and one day i *will* have a pink hello kitty dreamcast. those're cool. but for now, while money's kinda tight, i really can't justify spending any extra on a nicer-looking piece of kit that doesn't actually do any more than the cheaper, blander standard version.

Thankfully apart from a couple of exceptions i bought all these new and on release. The main reason i've kept everything over the years and tried not to sell anything on is the problems you can have trying to buy good condition stuff later. Obviously most of my machines are boxed up for safe keeping, but its nice to know that should i want to ever play on them again i already have them all in mint condition and i'm not going to have to buy battered replacements off eBay etc.

Its nice to have your own little museum of videogames.

I've had too many Limited Edition consoles in the past, but i've finally changed my ways. And I would rather have the money and more games then just a different coloured console.

Had a white xbox, Green and Smokey Grey. All at once. And I only really played one of them, and that wasn't often. So I sold all of them and kept my percy pal black one.

Does me fine.

I still have a couple of nice consoles, Like my Panny Q and Silver DC, where only 200 were made.
