    EIF or Euro 2004?

    OR

    I cant decide.

I want to get one of the above but does anyone know any info on the two? EIF has Live play and comes with a DVD but will Euro 2004 play better?

England International Football i think was out today because i have seen people on my friends list playing it. Id like to get a footy game before Pro Evo comes out towards the end of the year but i cant really decide which.

    Your thoughts?

Just don't get This Is Football 2004.

Hope that helps in some small way.

Had a quick go on EIF in Game today and it appeared to be crap. I'm fairly sure that reviews and others will back me up on this. As I understand it, Euro 2004 is a cut-down version of FIFA 2004 with the Euro 2004 tournament and qualifiers.

IMHO: Don't buy either. At the very least, rent them before buying.

          The best thing said today.

Euro 2004 is going to be another EA mess really, and if you've played Club Football, well, you have England International i.e. sucksville.

Then wait for the lovely Xbox Pro Evo. Sorted!

I would buy the EA game if it had Live support. The Codemasters game got a decent review in XBM and it looks fairly reasonable. The only thing against it is the simplistic nature of the game, it is a far-cry from the glorious technical nature of PES3.

Im am tempted to buy the Codemasters title, but I doubt I will. Heres hoping and praying that PES4 has Live support, it will be the biggest let-down in history if it doesn`t.

Well I got EIF as a GAME 10-Day *rental*, and the fact that it now sits back in the bag says it all really. It's like Pro Evo lite decaffeinated no-added-gameplay.

Players move like Heskey running through cold treacle. There's no responsiveness whatsoever, you'll press to pass, and it'll take a good second before the player decides he's prepared to pass, in which time you'll most likely have been tackled.

Headers and shots inside the box move like bullets.

There's no online optimatch, only quick match and create match, meaning the only point in this lacklustre release was STILL cocked up.

I'll wait for a better online footie game thanks.

I went and bought EIF on Saturday without reading any reviews beforehand

Me and my Dad have enjoyed the game all weekend, but 1 player is hard. On Live I was disappointed to see no scoreboards or anything, but maybe there will be an update to sort this and the problem of disconnecting in games.

It's enjoyable, I think I'll keep it, just to keep some gaming weekend's with my Dad going

And I thought everyone on here was wise to the perils of not playing WE/Pro Evo

                      Shame on you all

WE/Pro Evo is the only choice. Ginza I would wait until Pro Evo on the xbox, the rest are just a waste of money.

                        Seconded

I couldn't play any football game apart from winning eleven (and Sensible world of soccer)

                          Thirded.

Why waste money on various worthless football games when you could buy a second hand NTSC PS2 and the near-perfect WE7:I for around ?130?

The only reason I own a ps2 is for Winning Eleven, I went though all these "alternatives" 3 years ago, and they are ALL horrendous.

I would get the Euro 2004, the codemasters footy games are rubbish.. too damn slugish.. At least the EA(Fifa) one run's nice and play well.

I have played all the footy games out on the XB and EA are head and shoulders above the rest.
