Anyone worried that it is looking VERY gimmicky though? Mario Tennis 64 played great and lacked ghosts and shines appearing out of the court from what I remember. I hope there are normal match types too.

On one of the videos I saw it looked like normal match types are available - I agree with you - the gimmicks put me off wanting this game. I would have been happy with a graphical update to the N64 version really. If the gimmicks are just a nice added extra then that will be ok with me.

I found myself hating the N64 version due to the control system; I want to time my tennis shots, not charge them up. I was gutted because everything else about the game was superb - that's what I'm hoping they've addressed in the new one, not the question of gimmicks.
