New Issue of NGC - only 4 GC reviews !

Got it yesterday (subscription) there are only 4 GC and 4 GBA reviews, is it just a quiet month or the start of GC releases slowing down ? (ducks before getting slated )

    GC Review Scores:

    PSO 3 - 84%
    World Racing - 19%
    Serious Sam NE - 83%
    Samuari Jack - 50%

I think its a mixture of it being the beggining of summer and the downturn in the Gamecubes fortunes. I think things will pick-up in the Autumn, I hope so anyway.

To be honest i stopped buying NGC months ago as the quality has gone downhill, in my opinion.

There's really no excuse for that amount of reviews as they could have easily reviewed some of the many japanese games that they seem to let by without so much as a mention.

All the GC mags will now be fleshed out with E3 stuff untill the next major release. There is some good stuff coming for the GC but as usual there is a big gap between them coming out.

        For Pal this year

        Metroid Echoes
        Pikmin 2
maybe Killer 7 and Viewtiful Joe 2

        2005
        Resi 4
        Zelda

But before these come out I cant think of anything else major on the GC.

Don't forget Animal Crossing and Dirty Mario: Toadstool Tour.

Cancelled my subscription a fortnight ago, this is the last issue I will get. Like you say 12 months ago it was a great mag, but now they really seem to struggle to get decent content.

in terms of single format nintendo magazines, the official one i find the best, it used to be crap when the GC first came out but its actually pretty decent now. Its got quite a lot of personality, very well written, has all the info there is in nintendo PAL land, covers import stuff and the pad out the lack of new GC titles with import stuff and retro articles.. and they usually have cool free gifts yay .. I tend to read NGC, NOM and Cube in the newsagent and not buy them unless the disc on cube or the gift with NOM are any good!

I thought that one article they had for 2 issues from Japan looked promising...
however, I think the table shave turned this month. Not only has Greener re-emerged, there's Germans drawing, some other stuff and a load more articles than normal, I thought. Surely the return on Mark Green can only herald the return to the glory days of N64 mag...

I remember when this mag was great, back in the N64 days.

That's 5 reviews if you include their review of Summer: "Lasts a few months, but there's one every year. Is it from EA?" Scored high on visuals, as 'fit people wear skimpier clothes'. Genius!

Also witness the pure literary prowess:

"Serious Sam is Doom minus the gothic hell-trappings and plus a silly big dayglo hat and deely boppers."

                      Quality.

There's loads of great 'features' this issue too - including one where they jump innocent members of the public and force them to draw Mario. Definately worth getting I'd say, provided you're not looking for anything particularly serious/informative.
