Is it possible to get a GBA SP under ?50?

I've tried relentlessly at every WHSmiths I can find and they are all sold out. I'll phone them again next week as well just to make sure. I'm really needing a GBA SP, I'm gonna go away and I need a sleek rechargable console with a light: GBA SP.

I've checked on every site I can find and I've had no luck. I want a console for under ?50 inc delivery. I would be willing to get rid of my boxed GBA if you know anyone who'd be willing to do a part-trade.

If I were to buy a US/JPN console, could I replace the battery with one like this (as I planned anyway), then buy a UK charger, and then simply charge that in Europe without frying the console?

Also, I've only heard amazing things about this Flash Linker. If you know anything I should know about it, then I'd appreciate it if you could point me towards a URL or something

Sorry to ask so much, but I'm desperate to get myself one of these beauties... it's been too long!

Using a UK power supply on a US/JAP machine will be fine as the power supply is in the plug itself - my JAP boktai GBA SP works fine with a GAME brand charger

Dunno where you can get one for under ?50 though sorry, tried second hand? eBay or the trading folder perhaps?

Well if you insist on getting a new battery (not necessary, just a UK charger will do BTW) then I'd recommend this from Game. It's the same price in store as on the Web. For a charger on it's own without battery is ?7 IIRC.

As for the GBA, well not quite under ?50 but for just over ?60 they can be had new from PlayAsia , VG+ or QuickLink .

It is disappointing about WHSmiths, they were doing SP's for ?30 and the Limited Edition Pokemon SP's for ?50. If they're anything like the store near me then all the stock was bought by staff and put on eBay ft:

I looked at that battery pack, but I want one that lasts much longer than the one there. The one I want lasts about 35 hours without the light which is perfect. If I'm travelling I may not be able to charge it so 10 hours with the light, so that enough.

(Funnily I sent GAME an E-Mail about that product yesterday. The second bullet point yesterday said that it fits "'Nearly' into the GBASP" instead of "'Neatly' into the GBASP" I sent them an e-mail to clarify and they amended it today. Good service there! )

I have been doing a little more research and I found this site. They are selling the Flash Linker for ?50 inc delivery. Much cheaper than everywhere else I've seen. Good stuff.
