Flash Linker URGENT HELP - Quick.

I'm trying to copy an item across to my cart, and it's frozen at 2%. Nothing's is happening in the progress bar, but the red light is on the cart indicating that it is still writing.

The manual says that if you disconnect it it can/will cause a fatal crash on the card. But wtf can I do if it's not working?

It's and EFA linker! HELP! ARGH!

Wow, you can see how concerned I was. I managed to type 'Nothing's is' in my last post.

Well I got bored after a couple of hours and pulled it. The item I copied won't work at all, even when I copy it to the cart fresh, but the other games I've tried seem to be ok.

        Back to the GBA.

(Oh, and mr Ono, it doesn't use batteries per se. It has a small battery on the circuit board which charges through the USB port, but nothing other than you'd expect).

Out of interest, you weren't trying to copy a zipped file were you ?

          They don't like them apparently

Yes, it was a zipped file. I have copied every other file zipped and they've worked fine, equally, I've tried to copy the unzipped file that got stuck in the first post and that did the same thing.

I think it is possible that the siad file is corrupted or something. I'll have to download it again.

Thanks for the heads up though. I'll be sure to unzip all further files.

Just out of interest though, seeing as you appear to have some knowledge of the EFA, were you to copy a game, for example, to the cart in a zipped file, would it not unzip before it went to the cart. Every file I've copied has been zipped, but the size on the cart is larger than the size of the zip... about the size of the unzipped file...

According to the EFA official boards you should unzip them before placing them on the cart.

I don't think the EFA cart or software has the ability to unzip them itself (but I could be wrong there ). Whenever I try to write a zipped file the cart just locks up.

I'm not sure about the size thing. I only have three or four on mine at any one time ( to reduce the temptation not to finish one game before starting another )
