I personally hadn't played Grim Fandango until quite recently (in the last few months), due to not owning a pc back when it was released... and I have to say it is a great game The characters are what kept me playing mainly (Glottis is just brilliant), plus the in-game dialog is fantastic and there are plenty of genuinely funny moments Discovering Glottis's 'problem' during year 2 had me genuinely laughing

Ignore the graphics, if you haven't played it I wholeheartedly recommend you do

You're all a bunch of scumm bags for not mentioning 'The Dig'. One of the top 5 games ever to come out of Lucasarse.

That finesse doesn't even require a remake.

Erm I think you're in the minority with that opinion! Unless your being ironic...
The Dig was a bloated adventure game with an awful script and poor puzzles, imo of course.
It wouldnt come in my top 20 adventure games, let alone top 5!

Bowser, i really envy you. I wish i could just "discover" all the old classic Lucasarts adventure games. When i got my first ever PC (486/33 with only 8mb and 2mb video card!!) i use to play these games all the time. In fact Sam 'n Max (CD talkie version) was the first game i ever played on a PC. At the time Day of the Tentacle, Monkey Island and Fate of Atlantis were also out and i can remember spending many a day playing through them.

Just bumped this as I picked up a Dell Axim PDA last week and have just got round to installing ScummVM on it. Can't believe how easy it is to get the Monkey Island games working on it and the screen is cracking. I've got an SD card on its way to me, so was worried I wouldn't be able to get the games on it until its arrived, checked out the size of Monkey Island and its about 5Mb all in! Those were the days.

Heh yeah it is very easy, I played beneath a steel sky on my PDA not so long ago, with Full speech!

I guess its no surprise considering how powerful the PDAs are now compared to PCs. My first PC had a CPU running at 33MHz with 4Mb of RAM. I think the Dell's CPU runs at 624MHz if required.

How cool is it to be able to play these games again? Wow. Seriously impressed.
