US SNES Mini and JPN Super Famicom Jr-RGB?

Just wondering, do these consoles support RGB?

I'm pretty sure the Super Famicom Jnr needs to be modded for RGB, but no idea about the US model.

Yeah, the US and JP Snes Jr machines can be modded for RGB quite easily (they only output composite video by default - no RGB and no S-Video).

IMO after being modded for RGB they give the best picture quality of any type of SNES that I've seen.

Don't forget that so far they can't be modded for 50/60Hz.

Thanks for the replies guys, I'm glad they both support RGB(with a mod), the US model seems quite a bit easier to find so thats what I'm probably going to pick up

I don't need 50 Hz, it's got no place in my home

I just mentioned 50Hz since quite a few PAL games check to make sure the system is running at the correct speed. So even with the territory lockout chip disabled, you'd still need to be able to boot the machine at 50Hz and then switch to 60Hz after it passes the check.

Apparently one of the SNES import adapter carts can bypass this check, but I've yet to see it for myself.

Obviously if you're only going to be playing NTSC games then the lack of a 50Hz switch isn't going to be a problem.

Yep, I'll only be playing JPN games and maybe the odd US one, so its all good

                  Which was nice.
