    Naomi GD-Rom Arcades

Easy, i was wondering does anyone know how much one of these units costs. Because i'm seriously thinking about purchasing one second hand, the line up of games is just amazing. Its a close call between that or sammy's new machine but the lineup of gmaes is just amazing. Browsing system16.com's lisdt from each companies games for the Naomi GD-Rom i have almost everything, other than from what i've seen its missing a metal slug type game although i could be wrong there. Anyways i was wondering if you guys knew how much a second hand unit would be and how easy it would be to pick up the titles... etc...

As much as it would be really cool own a Naomi cab, what do you really want it for? Most of Naomi's best games are available as perfect or near-perfect Dreamcast ports; couple a cheap DC with one or two arcade sticks (the DC stick being famously great) and a decently sized CRT VGA monitor and the necessary DC to VGA adaptor, slam it all into a homemade stand-up cabinet and you're 99% of the way there for a lot smaller outlay.

I assume that you know that the Naomi won't work on a Supergun / JAMMA machine unless you have a JAMMA convertor board, and a 3.3V PSU and a Sega I/O board... basically if your asking questions about Naomi then your probably better off sticking to the cheaper Dreamcast and VGA box...
