CD-Wow and import duty?

Just noticed that on CD-Wow that in the description of any item that costs over ?18 it says that you may be charged import duty. So my question is, what are the chances of being stung?

It all random I mean I got Kill Bill Vol 1 and it cost 18.99 and I avoid duty.

I hate companies being too honest in pricing, all they do is put people off buying from them.

I havent paid any duty on anything iv got from cdwow (cds and dvds) but its just the luck of the draw afaik.

They used to reship games through Sweden so as to avoid import duty. Are they still doing this? Or have they been forced to stop?

I recieved MK DD from them today and it shipped strait from Hong Kong. It was ?18.99 so above the import duty limit but I didn't get charged.

Some of the items come from outside Europe. I bought the Neon Genesis Evangelion box set for ?55 and got hit by duty. I didn't mind as it was still a huge saving though.

i was wondering if they're reshipping the orders form europe now,
since the warning for their stuff over ?18 disappeared.

Yes they are. I emailed and they confirmed. I then ordered Frasier series 11 and it arrived without any customs note. They said they now pay the customs charges by shipping to the EU and then shipping to you.

I ordered Simpsons series 5 last week and it was sent yesterday I probably won't get it before Christmas though My Frasier set took 11 days to arrive

I got the Office Box Set (which costs over ?18) from them a week or two back and it had been shipped from the UK (still took a week to arrive though)
