How can I fix teh jumpy picture I get when using my Q RGB cable?

Howdy! anyone know why I get a jumpy picture when I use a modified Q RGB (Saurian) cable on my TV - and even more importantly how I might be able to fix it?

When I plug in composite cables the screen comes out in black and white.. when I plug in the RGB cable theres colour but the screen is all rolling n doing other kinds of crazee stuff its not supposed to?

Someone suggested a method I might be able to use to remedy this but well.. I have a memory like them drainy thingies and can't remember who that was otherwise I'd ask them

And on a completely unrelated note.. Para Para Paradise is.. omg!

sounds like you haven't connected composite video to the Q for the RGB cable.

it is needed to provide sync.

(some modded GCN/Q RGB cables don't need composite video connecting, but I think Saurian's do)

Yaay!! Cheers papercut and Saurian - I didn't relise you had to plug the composite cables into the Q as well.. I just assumed they were for plugging into the TV!

Its all working fine and dandy now! shame it doesn't play DVDs via RGB but thems the breaks - many thanks!
