Free program for converting mp3s into cda format?

I'm currently in the process of downloading a few mp3s from various band's websites who are appearing at Glasto so I know what they sound like and if I want to see them.

I want to convert them from mp3 (or whatever format they come as) into cda so I can play them on my CD player(s). I found a program a while ago that did this, but it only allows you to do it up to about 10 times before you need to pay.

Would be handy to have a free utility that does this for me, anyone know of one?

    Cheers,
    Sam

How are you writing your CDs? Every writer I've used allows you to convert mp3 to audio CD on the fly anyway.

Otherwise, I think Winamp 2 used to allow you to do this, by setting the output to a file rather than the soundcard.

Either Roxio Easy CD creator 5 at work (came with the machine) or Nero 5 at home. Not noticed them give me the option to convert...?

You shouldn't need to. In Nero 5 (I haven't got Roxio to hand), choose to create an audio CD, and drop your mp3 files in as if they were already wavs; it works fine here.
