Digital photos help?

I have a folder with about 100 photos in.I was transfering some of the images to CD.To make things easier i was holding down the control button so that I could select all that I wanted in one go .It has done that fine but now the folder has grown with lots of copys of the same photos.So i went to deleate them holding down the control button again and bugger me more copys.

Is the control button some sort of copy button as well?

You took your finger off CTRL when you were copying them, yes? You only need to hold CTRL when you are selecting the files, then you release it and move/copy/paste/whatever them.

I was holding control to select the files i wanted to move on to a cd.But for some reason when i went back in to my image folder there was a load of copies of the photos I had moved?
