    Toshiba 28ZH37/P Television Advice Needed.

Looking at buying a new television and the Toshiba 28ZH37 has caught my eye.

But because every site i look at about that particular model tells me something different i thought i'd ask here incase anyone has already got one or look into getting one. So...

Does it have Component Video Inputs?

Is it NTSC Progressive Scan Compatible?

How many SCART connectors does it have? How many are RGB?

www.webelectricals.co.uk are selling this model for ?399 inc delivery. Is there anywhere cheaper than that that you know of?

    Thanks in advance guys.

I'd be VERY surprised to see a progressive scan telly for ?400.

I don't think this model do support progressive scan. But double check Toshiba web site as there are 2 or 3 different version.

Looks exactly the same as mine but mine was ?460 and called 28ZD26P.

Mine has got component input with progressive scan, 100Hz and all that guf.

1 component input with sound inputs
        3 Scart with 1 RGB
1 RCA(I think its that) audio inputs

I just looked at the toshiba website and that one you have there is not progressive scan, you want to get the 28ZD26.

Oh and I think the TV has got a great picture too! Although there was a problem with some of the TVs. Progressive scan would create a funny rip effect at the top of the screen when playing GC but there is a free fix from toshiba. Check avforums for loads of info on that problem.

          Thanks for the advice guys.

Went looking for the 28ZD26 today and the only one i could find was an ex display model at my local Curry's which was ?600. Looks like that particular model has gone end of line and has been replaced by one that doesn't have Component or Progressive Scan.

So in the end i decided to go for the Sony KV28FX68. It doesn't have Component or Progressive but it was only ?529 and i'm more than happy with the picture. The extra screen size is a nice change over the KV21LS30 that i've been using in my games room recently.

I'll try to remember to add some piccies to the Setups thread soon.
